I am a new man in Christ

| I am honest with the LORD. I confess that He is LORD and I am
not. I am honest, therefore, with myself. Because I do not deceive myself into believing lies, I do not attempt to induce others to believe lies in order to protect my fantasies. Because I am an heir with Christ of all things, I need not cheat others to obtain more of God's abundance. Because I have been given a new name in Christ, I need not make dishonest reports of others in order to bolster my own reputation. I speak the truth in love. I allow God to be true, even if all men are proven thereby to be liars. I uphold the truth. I am upright and honorable; I am becoming more and more just and upstanding. My parents wanted me to be incorruptible, and my principled life is an honor to their desires. My friends know me to be ethical and moral. My family sees me becoming more and more truthful. My parents are proud of my virtuous life. My trustworthy habits are an asset to my community. Those I work with are delighted that I am becoming more and more unprejudiced. I am not afraid to be genuine in a culture of masks and deceit. My desire to be undeceiving pleases God. I am committed to becoming more and more uncontrived. People around me can depend on me to be above-board. The Spirit empowers me to be truthful. I often think about how I can be more sincere. I appreciate integrity. My spirit reverberates with openness and honesty. My conscience knows the value of sincerity and justice. I have a natural affinity with authenticity. I am at home with unaffected openness. Being honest is a real passion with me. I undertake continual personal moral inventories with rigorous honesty. I am therefore not susceptible to the flattery of others. These words resonate in my being; God's Law governs me throughout my life:

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the
purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who
first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. Mine eyes are awake through the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
