you have put off the old man
with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is
renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, Colossians 3:9-10 "Look to Abraham your
father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased
him." |
I am a new man in Christ

I accept challenge and arguments calmly and in a loving
spirit. I recognize that disagreement is an inevitable occurrence when diverse members of
the Body engage in the problem-solving process. I am composed because I am not competing
against others; I am working with them. I enjoy seeing others grow. I am not threatened when others are right and I am wrong. I am thankful God has given wisdom to others. [We sure need it!] I enjoy being corrected because this is a means of my own personal growth; my growth and their maturity brings community and peace. I am even-tempered. I have complete composure at all times. I am becoming more and more secure. My parents wanted me to be teachable, and my life of growth and humility is an honor to their desires. My friends know me to be calm and collected. My family sees me becoming more and more composed. Those I work with are delighted that I am becoming more and more unruffled. I am not afraid to be meek in a culture that is dominated by the outward pride which comes from inner insecurity. My desire to be meek pleases God. I can be as strong and as powerful as a well-bred horse, but I let God pull the reigns. I am committed to becoming more and more self-controlled. People around me can depend on me to be balanced. The Spirit empowers me to be untroubled. Being teachable is a real passion with me. Those who live and work near me know me to be balanced

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. -- Ephesians 1:11-12 I will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in Thy statutes: I will not forget Thy Word. -- Psalm 119:15 |
